My drawings are lovingly objectifying. I’m an alien researcher, and my subject, humans, are funny, cute, and repulsive. Mostly I find myself looking down on them, clipping their wings and holding them hostage in my drawings. But the more I look and spend time with them, the more I see myself. And there is part of me that is very comforted by that.
